輕輕鬆鬆、閒話家常
第二章捷進英文會話，幫助讀者速成；第三章進階英文會話，大量日常會話例句，幫助讀者瞭解英文會話；本章則著重日常生活閒聊內容，討論一些英文的習慣用語，例如描述東西壞了的用詞、心情不好時的用詞(就算自己不說，也要知道別人說這些話時的意思)、數字數量的表達方式、休閒娛樂等，進一步增進英文會話實力。
筆者日常生活經常遇到詞不達意的狀況，例如買治療頭痛感冒藥，不知藥盒上的英文標示為何？窗戶紗窗壞了，打電話給修理人員，不知紗窗英文為何？去動物園玩，知道熊叫Bear，但不知道澳洲無尾熊叫Koala
Bear？去迪斯奈玩，知道卡通人物小木偶，但不知道英文叫Pinocchio？閒聊時，如果想表達一個地名或人名，知道中文的譯名，但真正的英文不知道，還是沒辦法。因此，本章所列單字都是筆者認為日常生活中與洋人閒聊時，比較實用的單字，提供讀者參考。

●現代社會日常生活中，很多事情都與數字，數值，及度量衡有關，而中文與英文在這方面有許多不同處，雖然可能道理都知道，但因為不習慣，說話時經常一時轉不過來。

●數字的即時反應，因為中文與英文說話單位的不同，以致我們以英文表達數字概念時，有些許的不習慣，以下四點提供參考：
(1)中文與英文寫出來的阿拉伯數字都是一樣的，每三位數為一個逗點，表示一個新的單位；
(2)英文說話時，還是一樣的以每3位數為一個單位，也就是「thousand, million, billion, trillion」。因此30,000元，英文是30 thousand；2,000,000人口，英文是2 million；21,000,000人口，英文是21 million；200,000,000元，英文是200million；2,000,000,000元，英文是2 billion；
(3)但中文說話時，確是以每4位數為一個單位，也就是「萬、億、兆」，因此「佰、仟、兆」，中文說話與英文說話一樣，我們都很習慣，其他的數字單位就不習慣了；
(4)說英文時，當然以英文的數字單位為準，完全一樣的有「佰hundred、仟thousand」，直接背誦的有「佰萬million、拾億billion」，因此思考時以「佰萬及拾億」為分水嶺
